I had this one in the early 1960's, taking it to well over 100,000 miles on the clock. It was classy looking for a small car, with impressive grille, leather seats, economical, reliable, quite fast enough at the time up to 100 km/hr and water tight. It was a long stroke low revving engine with an integral full chassis, unique rising kingpins for levelling/self centering the front suspension, no oil leaks, good brakes, steering and shockers. It did suffer sagging rear springs from the heavy body, slack in the gear change/clutch pedal was not easily repaired and as discussed the valves needed regular maintenance. The only reason it was sold was the demise of Triumph, the unavailability of parts pre-Internet and the lack of support by AMI Melbourne. The car I replaced it with a Morris 1100, was by comparison a disaster.
