I don’t think the 4G54 is ever going to make a list of greatest engines ever or anything and the early ones really suffered from the balance shaft chains getting noisy but by the late eighties it was well sorted and a lot of them were made here and exported. I have respect for their ability to run without ever being serviced :-) Here is rickets the triton in the shed, moved it with an unregistered vehicle permit, now need to get it sorted. The air cleaner will need some modifications to fit the Weber clone. It’s remarkably straight and rust free really.
