Well happy birthday to you Mark. I am only a year along at Feb 62 and it is the best time line to be in seeing the 60s, the cool 70s and 80s and beyond. Most times when I talk about a certain year, I can relate it to cars of that year. My dad had an XL Ford and then an AP5 Valiant with bush button auto. 63 saw new British cars also like the Morris Mini and early Datsuns and Toyotas were starting to come in and I think you will find the first Bathurst was held in 1993 called the Armstrong 500 after being moved from Phillip Island. Harry First and Bob Jane won their class in a GT Cortina. So 63 was a good year for a lot of people.
