Got back to the HQ today after a break to the south west of WA. There were some great driving roads around the Walpole/Denmark area. They were ideal for the Porsche except I was in the Land Rover. I was on the watch for roos etc but was surprised when I had to slam on the brakes for Bambi the feral deer. I made a start on painting the dash pad. It still needs a coat or two of paint. It was all going well until I realised in the diminishing light that mosquitoes were taking a liking to it. My fine forceps helped there. I hope to finish it tomorrow. The instrument cluster is finished, I think. The HQ used a series of globes behind blue lens on the leading edge of the binnacle to shine light on the gauges. I have replaced the incandescent bulbs with LED items.
