The X2 was replaced by the 186S in May 1967 and available on all Holdens according to this flyer. 'A single 2-barrel carburettor for tuning without tantrums. And an all business instrument cluster including ammeter, oil pressure and water temperature gauges. No end of excitement -- as you'll quickly discover when you drive a 186S Holden.' Tuning without tantrums must have been an admission that the X2 may have had its problems......!
