Thanks for the great pics and story DrJohn. The MG TD at the opening of Lakeside belonged to Brian Tebble who had this spectacular roll. Brian was later PRO for BMC and Leyland, as well as for Keith Williams' Surfers Raceway. He later ran a successful Mazda dealership in Brisbane. It's amazing that he survived the rollover; he spent months recovering and wore a few facial scars. This is part of an article that appeared in the July '61 Modern Motor.
