...and why didn't Daimler stick Turner's 'majestic' 4.5-litre 'Hemi' in the SP250 and make it an SP450? That would have been spectacularly fast, but given the SP's chassis and 'glass body reportedly had the torsional rigidity of a mattress being flipped, perhaps we're lucky it never happened. The Geoghegans got tired of the doors springing open in their SP250s, particularly in the Bathurst Six Hour.
