Thanks Pony and Blinkie1. Glad you enjoyed this review. It's definitely the best street-driven Mk1 Escort I've seen and is right up there with the best competition Mk1s as well. It reminds me of Phil Ward's wickedly fast Cosworth FVA-powered sports sedan (below left) which often terrorised V8 rivals at Sydney Oran Park in the 1970s. John Bassett (orange car) and Garry Rogers also drove very quick Cosworth-powered Mk1s. Imagine how hard George's can run with more than 400 turbocharged neddies at the rear wheels? That's much more than these n/a cars ever had!
