This one isn't a car that GM intended but engineer and inventor, the late Jay Eitel, did some remarkable work on his original one-owner 1967 Chevrolet Corvair Monza to replace the rear 2.7 litre flat-6 with a front-mounted 5.7 litre V12 and yet retain a total look of period authenticity. Of course, I'm keen on anything that takes advantage of Jag's venerable V12 engine - maybe Mark can recall "Alley Cat" from his Street Machine magazine days - and Jay's re-engineering of the Corvair makes for some quite fascinating reading ... http://www.corvaircorsa.com/V-12-01.html
