Mitsubishi Triton is getting plenty of exposure in their commercials lately I have noticed, and is a sponsor for that show "Have you been paying attention". My son has an earlier version and I was passenger on one of his excursions onto the beach at Stradbroke, it handled the sand well with partially deflated tyres. As far as twin cab utes go his Ute has been a tough workhorse, so if that and SUV's are the only two products Mitsubishi might stay comfortable afloat. (not too many 'eggs in the basket' syndrome ?)
