The best examples I can recall of the superiority of four-wheel disc brakes in sedan racing were the outright Alfa Romeo Giulia Ti victories in the 1964 and 1965 Sandown Six Hour endurance races. Other cars, led by the thundering 427 Galaxie, were much faster but ran out of brakes. The little Italian sedan with its four-wheel discs had no problems and proved that Sandown was more of a braking circuit than a power circuit over six hours.
