It doesnt look like anyone has nominated the HK Monaro especially the 327 GTS. The Monaro heralded GMH's first serious foray into motor racing and introduced the stunning two door coupe styling. Suddenly GMH had a car with serious sporting credentials to comptete with Fords GT sedans. The 327 GTS won Bathurst in 1968 at its first attempt and again in 1969 with the facelifted HT 350. This gave rise to the culture of Holden V Ford, Red V Blue eventually morphing into the Supercar circus of today.
