I'd like to add the HK Monaro into the mix, MO. Compared to the 1968 Nova, it was streets ahead in style. Yet, both were shaped in parallel. GM design boss, Bill Mitchell, told Holden's designers that he considered the Monaro and HK range to be the most stylish of GM's "small cars" in 1968.
Yep, I'd have to agree with you DB. I think Bill Mitchell's assessment says it all really. The HK Monaro ranks as one of Holden finest styling efforts and one of GM's best on a global scale. I think the Americans would have loved it given the USA's 'pony car' war was at its peak in the late 1960s and the GTS 327 would have been right at home in that company. No doubt they would have offered larger V8 options - including big blocks!
