The first tracks I was taken to ( age 4-6 ) were Bathurst and Gnoo Blas in 1951/53. I remember seeing Jack Brabham in the black Cooper Bristol / Redex Special at Bathurst, and Arthur Wylie in his owner -builder-driver yellow Wylie Javelin at Gnoo Blas. They're where I got addicted to race cars and the smell of Racing Castrol. The family moved to western Sydney in late 1953, so I went through withdrawal until a very wet opening of Warwick Farm in 1960. ( Practice on Saturday afternoon and racing on Sunday ). Other tracks visited since include Amaroo Park, Oran Park, Catalina Park, Eastern Creek, Philip Island, F1 track at Melbourne, V8 tracks at Canberra and Homebush, Pukekohe and Bay Park in NZ, Goodwood.
