Nostalgia galore here. In the 1987-1990 time frame I competed in the NSW Street Sedan series, essentially an entry level deal for ex-Group E cars but mainly a rotaryfest. I started with a 1.8-litre Alfetta sedan but also used an RX-3 10A. These were both in the sub-2.0-litre class, and an RX-4 coupe in the 2.0-litre-plus class. I remember paying $3,000 or so for the white !0A sedan and $6,000 for the red RX-4. Wouldn't you love to have those cars now? Still on the question of values, can the RX-8 really sink much further? Even the looks are growing on me. The image below is of Oran Park, reverse direction with my Suzuki Swift GTi in the middle and my Alfetta at the back. (The Alfa braked much better and handled better than the RX-3 10As but lost out badly on the long straight, especially in the reverse direction with the straight going uphill!).
