1978 Honda Civic.....which we bought after owning a 1974 Model which was a fantastic car.....we took this one to the North West and also across the Nullarbor , but the road was then sealed. This pic is of the the mighty little Honda somewhere in the Wittenoom' area (later to called Karajini National Park....back then the roads were all harsh gravel and rocks after Newman and you could literally drive in to the Gorges (not NP then) The car went great, loaded to the hilt with camping gear and all up we damaged the exhaust from stones battering it and one tyre got a bulge in it (a firestone radial) - yes we were certainly naive back then and took cars where ever it was accessible to go camping. Had the Civic for Ten years hassle free.
