My 2012 45th Anniversary RS Convertible looks very much at home in Sydney. Originally imported with a Bumblebee Camaro hardtop it was used as a wedding car for the Groom and Best Man while the Bumblebee was stretched into a limo to be used for the Bride, Bridesmaids and wedding party. The Bride n Groom then departed for the reception in this baby that I picked up in 2018. Suffice to say I did disinfect the seat especially the back upon purchase just in case some babies were made on the way to the reception. I was lucky to steal it for $40k with 40 thousand k's around the same time everyone was wanting the last of the Commodores. I don't mind using it as my daily drive and although the lil brother to the LS3'd SS she still packs a lot of punch with the 323hp at the flywheel V6 but less weight over the frontend. Yes my timing chains are fine at 90k and it never skips a beat especially eating up mustangs in traffic. Great article on a awesome model and can't wait for Supercar's to start racing in 2023. Being from a Holden family it's sad to lose the Holden brand in racing but I don't mind 'Holden on' to my Dad's and Grandad's cars to cherish the history of their past new purchases in May 59 and Nov 72. Despite being a black sheep cos I bought a Black Chevy, they are now the future for now.
