Bently T I could sing the praises of FE / FC Holdens all day long.and I probably bored members with my true story of driving back to Brisbane from Melbourne in 1974 in the FE Station Wagon chock-a-block stacked with gear including three speaker bins the size of bar fridges strapped on the roof between racks, covered in plastic. When we stopped for petrol at Warwick, the guy pumping fuel asked where we were heading and we said Clayfield, North of Brisbane. He looked at the load, with the Holden's R-send low to the ground and said "Don't like your chances with that load" .........We said "We have driven up from Melbourne" . The guy's mouth was still open as we drove off........... . . The photos below are old but maybe viewable.
