Ford's light and compact Windsor 289/302 V8 with a Borg Warner single-rail four-speed behind it fits so nicely in a Mk1 Capri (and Mk3 Cortina for that matter) you'd swear Ford's 'Mini Mustang' was designed around this drivetrain from the start. Just slides straight in with no body modifications required. I built mine in the late 1980s and it was awesome.
