I find it staggering that Ford produced more than one million vehicles in 1921 across its US and UK operations. When you think about how hands-on car manufacturing was in those days, with just about every stage of the assembly process requiring human input (like making wheels below), that is a remarkable achievement when compared to today's highly computerised robotic manufacturing.
