This is Lex Davison in the 1962 event - a brave man indeed............ you can hear the cross-plies squealing in protest, and I'm wondering what's stopping him from sliding across the vinyl front seat as I can't see a belt. The two Freeways acquitted themselves quite well until knocked out by rocks through their radiators caused by the track breaking up. It'd give me nightmares if I drove my Freeway like this, but I'd probably give my 8 year-old Getz a go at higher speeds and expect it to last the distance. That's how far we've come.
