Great choice MO. The 250 GTO has been the most expensive car in the world for a significant time. But, apart from the value, it is the gold standard in desirability by virtue of styling, race pedigree, badge, history, significance etc. It is indeed a stunner. What I find interesting is the fact that all 29 survive (Series 1) with many raced at Goodwood and similar events. If they are badly damaged, any repair cost can be justified due to the obscene value. They can't be written off ever! I have been lucky enough to own my dream car (308GTB), albeit briefly, back in the day. So, my choice is the '79 Brock Bathurst Torana A9X known for the 6 lap victory and lap record on the last lap. Not sure of the value but it may be the most expensive Aussie car of all time if ever sold by the owner. Up until recently, I would have naturally chosen something Euro and ultra exotic but maybe I am just getting nostalgic for my younger self. Cheers Steve
