I've always had a soft spot for the XJ-S mainly because I love V12 engines, but my admiration of these big cats went skyward after the TWR Group A era. What Tom Walkinshaw and his hard-working team (including Kiwi engine man Allan Scott) achieved with these cars was outstanding. Who could forget Tom's scintillating lap in the Top 10 shoot-out to claim pole position for the 1985 Bathurst 1000? Not me!
