Hi @Must66, did you ever determine where the water was coming from? I have recently discovered the same with my '66 after driving her in the rain or hose washing (which is very rare anyway). The water slowly but surely drips into the RHS wheel well where it puddles. I have recently painted the boot with black rust protection paint and applied Dynomat so thought I may have blocked up a drainage hole without realizing?? Anyone else have this issue?
