The dual throat Stromberg carburettor that I am using on the HQ has the throttle linkage rotated 90 degrees compared to the original single throat Stromberg. The orientation is the same as the V8 cars. The HQ has a mechanical linkage system from the accelerator pedal to the carburettor. I do have a partial cable system to adapt it but have been on the lookout for a sensibly priced V8 linkage system. Total cable conversion kits including the accelerator pedal are available, but I like the old-school look of the relatively complex linkage system. Distractions are keeping me away from the HQ but I spotted a system on Gumtree that I sent one of my brothers to pick up. I will freshen it up and may have to alter the final rod length to suit. Excuse the blurry screenshot photo.
