Joe - sorry to bang on, but attached are more brochure scans - the colour pic shows more clearly the same wheel and horn-ring from the Opel - this one from about 1956, but the same as the earlier 1954. Also, the trim on the rear doors of the FE Special (not FC) were inspired by the 1949-54 Pontiac - this was taken from their 1952 brochure.
