Today I organised a flatbed truck to deliver an HQ ute that was gifted to me. Until a week ago it was still being used by an elderly tradesman who then bought a newer car. This one needs much more work than my XF Falcon. I will probably store it for a couple of years before making a proper start on it. It has a WB front which I will swap out for an HQ front. It has been modified over the years with bucket seats, LS Monaro instrument surround and disc brake front end. The motor is a 202 with column shift manual. It has extractors and runs quite smoothly. As the motor is not the original block, I am tempted to look for a 253 and four speed although I like the simplicity of the red six and I am not sure about making a hole in the floor. It will keep me busy if I decide to retire. Attached is a photo of the XF which received some new tyres last week and an upgrade to S-Pack rims.
