Ah yes, my 1947 Daimler DB18 has the Wilson preSelect gearbox - No clutch - the next gear can be selected anytime (hence "preselect) - but the gear doesn't actually engage until the "gear-change" pedal is actioned. The vehicle has no clutch, but has a torque converter. A pleasure to drive, and it engages ones brain, too, making one think ahead to the next gear-change up/down well before the actual change is actioned.
