Hi Mark. I restored and raced a Mark 2a for a number of years in the early 2000s. At the time Sprites were looked down upon by the owners of the big Healeys and the MG purists were not really interested in the Midgets. Despite its outstanding racing heritage and the amount of components shared by many other BL cars, Spridgets were always the poor second cousin! How things have changed. I sold my Sprite to get into a Group N Mini, looking back now I wish I could have kept my Sprite. It is still competing regularly in Group Sb and these cars are now much sought after. Now, I know a fellow with an unfinished Mk1 in a shed.........
