Amazing really that a conservative company like BMC came out with fins in 1959, before chopping them down to size a couple of years later. The Wolseley 15/60 and Morris Oxford were the pinnacle so to speak. I've always loved the '57 De Soto for sheer simplicity like the 300C. Packard, like the AP2 Chrysler Royal just added a fin onto a fin. Fins didn't stop with the sedans though, Dodge sported them on their '57 and '58 Power Giant pickups. Apparently they just grafted the rear panel from the 2 door wagon onto the sides and voila!
