My mate helped me get it in the fairlane. Some puzzling moments around the drive plate (it’s clocked! Got to spin it until all the holes line up) and them a few difficulties getting the stupid torque converter lined up at the same time as the engine bolt holes. Normal cars have bolts so it doesn’t matter which way the torque converter is aligned when marrying the engine and trans. Stupid ford have studs on the torque converter so it’s a whole lot of fiddling to get it aligned . Stupid ford. Have to wait until tomorrow to see if it runs. Ran out of time today. Lots of prep work making sure nothing got trapped and that I know ahead of time where the wires and vacuum connections go. Next step is all the accessories, carb and doing the ignition timing.
