I am only comparing like with like. Lots of expensive luxury cars with no sporting pedigree are worh a fortune. The best example is probably a Jaguar S-Type 3.8 manual with overdrive and wire wheels being worth about half a similar Mark 2. I also think you'd pay far more for an HK Monaro GTS 327 than an HQ Monaro GTS 350 in comparable condition. That's racing heritage.
