I got to know George reasonably well when he was chosen as the third crew-member with Jack Murray and Evan Green in the 1800 entered in the London Sydney Marathon. A couple of pics here when we were doing pre-publicity shots with a replica car. George is in the driver's seat and in the middle. He was a brilliant navigator, where Jack and Evan were more high-speed drivers.
