This story is a must to read if you are about to make a claim with Shannons, I had to make a claim with Shannons just recently on my chev for repairs that were carried out in the late 90s , this was the second accident the chev has been involved in both to the rear end of the car, each time the rear windscreen had to be removed from the car, now this claim is on Shannons life time warranty and I have been with Shannons since the late 1980s, In my case the panel shop that repaired the chev has closed down, so the first problem is shannons don't have anyone to recoup the money from, I had to take the car to the repairer of my choice and have the car stripped down to show areas where the problems were, so this was done and the photos sent to shannons accesser (that to me isn't for the motoring enthusiasts) he not only knocked my claim back but, said the cars rust was the cause of the problem and they don't cover rust , now the small amount of rust was in the rear window channel, so keep in mind both claims had the rear windscreen removed, so at this stage im left with my car pulled apart and the paint stripped.( to be continued )
