What a strange coincidence, I bought a copy of that exact magazine for $1 at the Inverell motor show recently. It’s actually a great look at what HDT were doing in the aftermath of the fall of Peter Brock. Journalist Angus MacKenzie does not fawn over the Brock car and it must be one of the very few Wheels articles that were critical. The plastic pig didn’t get any better looking with time but as the article says, the spoilers were designed in a wind tunnel instead of with PBs seat of the pants, hence were far more effective. I think it’s been done to death as a topic but I’d like to write it up anyway, the picture of John Harvey with his new HSV team mates in a sponsored spread in this particular magazine caught my eye the most. PBs most trusted lieutenant now working for the enemy.
