Back on topic, do many of you agree with my idea that a twenty-first century rear-drive (upmarket) small car from, say, BMW or Porsche would appeal? Imagine any of the following re-imagined with new technology: Beetle, Renault 4CV, Fiat 600, Fiat 126, Hillman Imp, Chevrolet Corvair. The last of these Chevies ('65 Monaco coupe) was among the best Detroit postwar cars, but the fire had departed the corporate belly by then.
