Although Holden originally had an image of a family car, there was a time when they had some concepts that were outright brilliant designs. The original GTR, Hurricane etc were completely divorced from the HR market. Then out of the blue, the engineers and designers at Holden produced the Effigy. Compared to the straight lined and ubiquitous designs coming out of the factory it was as curvy, sensuous and seductive as a beautiful woman. I know these were just concept cars, but they were also certainly out of line with the general thinking (no pun intended) that was prevalent in Holden at the time.
