Borgward's swansong was the big Six, designed to take on Mercedes with their 'finny' 220 and 300. Alas, it failed, so they sent all the tooling off to Mexico for them to make a go of it. The Mexicans made the 230GL, complete with fins and chrome, but then redesigned the rear window, and stripped all the chrome and fins to make the poverty pack 230. It was all over by about 1971....
