A V8 Capri, Mark! Sensational! I remember seeing Rick Hunter's V8 Capri at Liverpool Raceway back in 1971/72 until officials banned it for not being a "production" car. In Newcastle, Stuart Taylor raced a V6 Capri at Heddon Greta and the Newcastle Motordrome speedways for a season or two. I've included a photos of both cars. The photo of Stuart Taylor was taken at Heddon Greta on the December night in 1972 when Gough Whitlam was elected to office. I know this because I was at the speedway that night and was standing in the crowd just behind where this photo was taken. Taylor's Capri went upside down!
