Oil change time. Old oil had been changed recently but is diluted with fuel due to the copious attempts to get the car running on the original carb. Using a high zinc, full synthetic which is recommended for the engine. I am a little surprised that is what is listed given this cars age but all those old wives tales about synthetic oils making old cars leak turned out to be mostly BS stemming from the original high ester synthetic oils of the 1970s. I am trying out that oil flush product, normally I don’t bother but the oil change history of this engine is unknown so I figured it couldn’t hurt. It claims to fix all ailments in 10 minutes. Found myself under the car with the correct 17mm spammer talk about muscle memory.
