No sooner did I post above and then I had a 'Eureka' moment, if you'll pardon the pun ... the Purvis Eureka, of which I am not a fan, but I do remember seeing a few of them in the late 1970s, mostly powered by Volkswagen engines upon the Beetle chassis, but some supposedly featuring Mazda rotary power ... available in kit form or fully built up, here's a few images ...
