Unless I find a good pair of bucket seats, I will be using the bench. I have recommenced fixing the broken springs. The foam is in excellent condition. The springs are complicated in that they snake all over the place and act as struts as well as springs. Generally, I am adding new springs to augment sagged units or to bridge across broken sections. I bought the springs from an upholstery shop and the clips and expensive pliers online. After this, my choices are to have new trim made by a nearby upholsterer, buy a ready made cover or replace a worn panel myself and then use vinyl paint to obtain the desired colour.
