Hi Mark, I have been thinking about an engine swap for some time now. I have a 1977 Mark 2 Ford Escort which I have owned for the last 24 years and compete in club level motorsport (see attached photos). It currently has a 2 litre Ford Pinto motor with twin side draft Webers but am tired of the 'old' technology. I am looking at performing a common conversion in the UK which is transplanting it with a 2.0, 2.3 or ideally 2.5 litre Ford Duratec engine with throttle bodies (see attached photo). Just currently thinking about transmission options, stick with my current 4 speed straight cut close ratio gearbox or a Sierra T9 5 speed straight cut gearbox or if I have the money a SADAV sequential gearbox. I will let you know what eventuates. Regards Glenn
