I have decided to remove the cigarette lighter socket. Having one goes against my grain and also with the unit being old there is the concern of an overheated, accidentally activated lighter causing some damage. A reproduction blanking plug is around $50 so I am putting the 3D printer to use. It may take a couple of goes to get the correct fit.
