My Slot car was once banned from the track at Everton Park because the wheels/tyres were too wide. The 'wheels' were actually Impeller Rotors used for pumps in washing machines and I attached them to the axles of the Open Wheeler slot car I had. It handled corners so well because the alloy centres with wide rubber gripped better than all the other cars on the track. Trouble is, the car was then too wide in track and would nudge other cars off the track. The trials and tribulations of Slot Car Racing. Fun while it lasted though! 😁🏎 My Slot Car was similar to the one on the right.
