Great memories fellas. I love every race car shown here! Always love reading your hands-on recollections Hasbeen. And Davidl, I must agree with you on the ultimate ground effect F1 cars of the late 1970s early 1980s. The suction provided by the underbody venturis was so powerful that traditional front and rear wings almost become redundant. As a result they were such clean-looking cars, particularly Alan Jones' Williams FW07 designed by Patrick Head which has always been a personal favourite.
