My recollection of Garry's 2.6 Kimberley was we used a complete P76 long motor and had the flywheel end of the crank parted off and a 2.2 crankshaft end was welded to it. The location for the oil filter on the block was sealed off because it conflicted with an engine mount location. The oil gallery had to be drilled to suit the oil pump/oil filter in gearbox configuration. The torque it produced was well suited for the weight of the car and gave it the performance to match the chassis. A GT badge would not have been out of place on it. Had dual exhaust but the muffler shop didn't really get it right.
