In the cars past it had been crunched in the driver’s side rear corner of quarter. They used the s**** and pull technique and didn’t even weld up the holes. No way was I leaving it like this, so I began the long process of hand forming all the bends and bits to replace it all with steel. I made the lower rear apron in 3 sections so I could treat behind it as I went along and also for the ease of making the correct bends. Also removing the number plate section temporarily so I could gain access to the surface rust behind it on the inner and outer panels The sections I replace should never rust again as I use weld through primer and paint inner panels that you otherwise wouldn’t get to with por 15.
