"In the Year 2525" is a 1969 hit song by the American pop-rock duo of Zager and Evans. It reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for six weeks commencing July 12, 1969. On whatever station I could pick up in a company Austin 1800 Ute going up to Alice Springs in August 1969. The emptiness of the country in northern South Australia made me wonder if there would be a world in 2525. The day I took these pics, on the other side of the earth, 450,000 people were crammed into quagmire known as Woodstock. Wichita Lineman, while I watched all three warning lights on my EJ Holden come out in sympathy with each other on a 39 degree summer day.
