Great story following on from the previous Lancer article. I was so impressed with the Mitsu range in the mid 70's that I have managed to own many LA Lancers in my life thus far. Mostly turned into rally cars. However, I now only maintain 2 cars. A 1978 LB Lancer that has spent most of its life as a forest rally car, but I have now converted over to a tar baby in the past 5 years. It gets used regularly at hill-climbs and street sprints and people love the model and the noise it makes on full loud pedal. In the other garage I keep a 1976 GD Galant Hardtop as a streeter. I love both cars and get so much enjoyment from them. Its great to read other people's experience with the cars of this time and range. Perhaps one day they will reach super star status and others will see them for the treasures that they are. What great style lines the Galant 2 door has. So much late 60's and early 70's Yanky muscle car influences in the high hip and C pillar.
